Description:

USA Today and International bestselling author J.C. Valentine is back with the latest in her electrifying, dangerous, and provocative world of the Spartan Riders MC…

After escaping an abusive marriage, Spartan Riders bartender Ginger “Red” Mercury is determined to live life on her own terms. When the club’s VP declares her untouchable and stakes his own claim on her, she finds herself ready to wage war.

A year after inoculating the threat from notorious cartel leader Ricky Cruiz, Garrick “Repo” Stone, the last-standing original member of the Spartan Riders MC, has his focus on something else: monogamy. Having decided to settle down and take an ol’ lady, he has his sights set on Red…and he has his work cut out for him if he hopes to win her.

When a new threat makes itself known, threatening everything the brothers stand for and care about, they’re left scrambling to find out who’s behind it before it’s too late. With the high-stakes game of war looming over them, will Red be able to open her heart to love before outside forces pull her and Repo apart?

Excerpt:

Ginger opened her eyes to the feel of Garrick’s fingertips lightly stroking the side of her face and realized she’d fallen asleep.

Breathing deep, she sat back, wincing at the pinch in her spine. “How long was I out?” she asked groggily as she touched her fingers to her hot, damp cheek—the one that’d been pressed against his chest.

“About an hour.” Garrick plucked his shirt, grimacing. “You drool.”

“I do not!” Ginger flushed, feeling fifty shades of embarrassed. Because sometimes she did drool. But she was not about to admit that.

“Tell that to my shirt.” He looked over at her and smirked. “No worries, babe. Your secret is safe with me. Besides, it’s nice to know you have at least one flaw.”

Ginger scowled, then frowned as his words registered. “You thought I was, what, perfect?”

“The thought had occurred to me.” Standing, Garrick crossed his arms over one another, grabbed the hem of his shirt, and stripped it over his head.

Ginger could only stare at the perfection he presented. Even for an older man, he had an incredible body. It was obvious from the thick, defined muscle that he took care of himself. And that dusting of salt and pepper hair that ran in an upside-down V from his chest to his waistband got her panties all in a twist.

He was so masculine and sexy, it hurt to look at him.

Licking her lips, Ginger remembered their conversation. “Well, I’m not perfect. I’m just me. You though…wow.”

Oh man, had she just said that out loud? Garrick’s gaze captured hers, and yeah, she definitely had. And it was clearly going to his head.

And not the one in his pants.

“Like what you see?”

Well, she’d already stuck her foot in it. No sense in beating around the bush now. “You know I do.” They’d had sex before, and she’d let him go down on her last night. Considering how wet she’d been then, it should be obvious.

“Then maybe,” Garrick said, his gruff voice full of seduction as he leaned down over her, bracing his hands on the back of the couch, so she had to tilt her head all the way back to meet his eyes, “you should act on it.”

Ginger pressed her lips together. Her fingers itched to touch him, to explore the body that’d felt so good on hers so long ago. She wanted to get properly reacquainted. But should she? She’d already messed up and let him do things she never should have allowed. If she took this step, if she let him have her completely…he’d have her completely.

And he knew it.

Review: Dark Rooms by Sionna Fox Reply

Available For Purchase On:

Review:

This is the first book I have read by Sionna Fox and it will not be the last. Dark Rooms is a student/teacher romance that is a twist on the normal College student/teacher relationship. The chemistry and relationship between Wes and Aimee is steamy and hot with drama and angst. My heart went out to both of them. This book grabbed me from the very beginning and did not let me go until the very end. I look forward to reading more from Fox. I recommend this read.

Especially not when he shows up in her dark room with dirty still life photos and an unflagging determination to make her his.

Review:

This is the first book I have read by Ms Shreffler and it will not be the last. I truly enjoyed reading this book. For me Emma and Grayson are the perfect couple. They are both a little broken but they are so good for each other. They are relatable and believable as they learn how to be a couple. I will admit that at one point a tear or two leaked out at what I call the shock scene at the airport. This book is well written and developed. It is a hot, sexy, fast paced, fun read. I look forward to reading more from this author, maybe a book about Megan and her red headed friend? I Highly Recommend this book.

Description:

Emma

From the moment I met Grayson Cole, I knew he was someone I wanted to let in my panties and maybe, even in my heart. One night, one sexy-as-sin kiss, and several drinks later, our incredible evening turns into a disaster and I’m apologizing for the vomit spatter on his fancy, black shoes. I never thought I’d see him again after that, no matter how many nights I spent wishing I would. Until a month later, he waltzes into my office as—MY NEW, HOT BOSS. I’m so screwed.

Grayson

She was meant to be a fun f*ck. That’s all I wanted. That’s all I needed. But Emma Williams could never be just that for me. The quirky, brunette vixen challenges me at every opportunity. My desire to have her has me working for her affections, like I’ve never done before. What is this woman doing to me? Not only am I her Boss, but I don’t do feelings. There’s only one way I see this ending. I’m f*cked for sure.

Excerpt:

Grayson

The erotic book in my hand is barely distracting me from the stunning woman lying in my bed. Her dark, wavy hair is cascading over the pillow and the sheet barely covers her. From my chair, I have a perfect view of the curve of her back, narrow waist, and luscious ass. She groans as she moves and my cock hardens from the sound. She’s learned I have certain tastes in the bedroom. I’d never belittle or hurt a woman, but I do like some kink. No doubt she’s a little sore from the vibrator I used. If the sounds of her moans and the two orgasms meant anything, I’d say she liked it very much. My lips curve from the memory of her face when I brought it out and then again when she reached her first climax.

Reaching down, I adjust my semi into a more comfortable position. Little does Emma know how often she gives me a hard on. It’s like I’m a fucking teenager again with an uncontrollable snake in my pants that becomes alert and ready anytime it gets a whiff of her pussy.

What’s even more confusing is what I’m feeling for her. I’ve never been patient with sex. I’ve seduced, got what I wanted, and moved on. It’s been this way for years. No woman has ever mattered enough that I wanted to be patient, careful, and even considerate of her emotions. But Emma’s inside my head, an itch I can’t satisfy until I have her, all of her. With her, I want to take the seduction slowly. I’m enjoying it. She appreciates everything I do, and I find myself upping the ante just to win her affections.

Fear isn’t something a man likes to admit to others, let alone to himself, but I feel it. It’s there. I’m afraid I’ll hurt her. I want her to trust me because if she gives me her trust, I’ll have her. But, then what? She’ll be another conquest and I’ll what, get bored like I always do, lose interest? Or will it be me that burns? If I let her in, I’ll have to change. I’ll have to give her the trust I know she’ll want from me. Am I even capable of giving it, of loving someone?

She stirs in her sleep and I watch her. Emma has no idea she’s the first woman to have stayed the night with me. It’s probably why I’m up at two a.m. reading because I can’t sleep. Not with her lying next to me, smelling like sex and jasmine, and breathing so peacefully it pains me to look at her.

“Grayson,” her voice is a sleepy whisper.

I continue watching her move. The sheet falls from her breasts as she sits up and turns to face me. The question in her eyes kills me. She’s concerned why I’m not in bed with her. Stepping from the bed, she approaches. Her dark, little patch above her pink lips annihilates my remaining control over my cock.

“Can’t sleep?” she asks, her voice so sweet it breaks me.

I extend my arm and she slides onto my lap and lies against my chest, like we’ve been doing this for years. The scent of jasmine fills my nostrils and I lean against her hair, breathing her in. The touch of my hand caressing her back releases a pleasured moan from her lips. Lips that can easily bring me to my knees, if I’m not careful.

“Sorry to wake you. I read when I can’t sleep.”

Laying her head on my shoulder, she looks at my book. “What are you reading?”

Undo This Night.”

“Will you read it to me?”

The corner of my mouth raises. “You want me to read it out loud to you?”

She giggles and the sound widens my smile.

“Yes.”

This is unexpected, but I like it. She continues to surprise me. I can never predict what Emma will do, and it’s something I adore about her. She keeps me on top of my game.

“From the beginning or where I’m at?”

“Where you’re at.”

My attention returns to the book. “I raise Tiffany’s ass in the air and slap it once, twice then spread her cheeks. Reaching for the condom I tossed on the bed, I sheath it over my cock, then rub against her pink, tiny hole. Looking over her shoulder at me tells me she wants me to fuck her hard. It’s been two weeks since I’ve seen her and by the needy look in her eyes, she knows I won’t be gentle.

Emma’s hand reaches into my sweatpants and circles my raging hard on. Each stroke makes it harder to focus on the words.

I slam into her tight pussy and latch onto her hips, using them as leverage to fuck the moans right out of her mouth.”

Emma pushes the book out of her way and straddles me with her knees tucked into the cushion of my chair. Her mouth slams down on mine and I toss the book to who-fucking-cares where. Lifting her from the chair, I wrap her legs around me and pull her ass up against my aching erection and move her over it.

“Grayson, I want you. I want to feel you inside of me.”

“No other men, Emma. If you’re with me, you’re with only me.”

“I don’t want anyone else.”

Laying her on the bed, she watches as I remove my sweatpants. My cock is at attention and her eyes go right to it. She moistens her bottom lip and it jumps at the sight of it. The last time that tongue touched my dick, she stole a chunk of my heart. Wicked little thing she is.

“Let me get a condom.” I move toward the dresser and she extends her legs, trapping me between them.

“Don’t need one. I’m on the pill.”

My chest tightens. Sex without a condom is something I don’t do. Fuck me, she’s got me between a rock and a soft, little pussy I’m dying to feel. I turn to her and crawl above her on the bed. “Just this once. I want to feel you come all over my cock.”

Her gray eyes are locked on mine and her mouth tilts into a lascivious grin. I close the space between us and kiss her. Spreading her legs, my dick slides across her slick pussy. She’s already soaking wet for me. I raise my hips and plunge into her.

Cock-melting heat surrounds me, she’s so tight I barely have to move to get the friction I need. Pushing in further, she lets out a whimper.

“Am I hurting you?”

“No, you feel incredible.”

“Emma, I want to give you slow and sensual, but I don’t think I can. I want to fuck you until you’re calling out my name.”

“Please, fuck me,” she begs.

Her needy plea puts me into action. One hand takes hold of her neck and the other tucks under her leg, raising it as I thrust into her hard. Every time I pull out and slam into her, I feel the blood racing to my groin. The familiar tingle is at my back; she’s spewing cuss words and calling out my name. Another thrust and her orgasm pours over me and it feels perfect.

My jaw clenches and I release into her. It’s a high I’ve never had and the moment it happens, I know I’m ruined. There’s no way I can go back to a condom with her.

Lying on the bed, she’s sprawled out across my body in a deep sleep with her head tucked into my neck. My fingers are combing through her hair and I’m watching the ceiling, replaying different scenarios in my head. Every single one ends with the same fear—one of us getting hurt.

Review:

Very mature content with intense sexual situations and violence. The third installment in the Thrust series features Dane. As is the case with the previous books, he is ex-marine, hot and deadly, and a high-priced male escort. There’s nothing subtle about Dane, and his filthy mouth alone might turn you on. As a $5,000 per client escort, he has one unbending rule – no repeats. One time only means no strings, just the way he wants it. He wants his privacy and solitude, just him and his dog, Hunter. When he’s asked to do a favor and take in a client for 24 hours, Dane reluctantly agrees. Then he sees the stunning, twenty-something year old, blue-eyed blonde in his kitchen. and something changes.
Irina is submissive, abused, and now on the run and hiding out from her arms dealing, Russian Mafia husband, Viktor.
As I read the pages of their meeting, other than the obvious, Dane’s attraction to Irina didn’t make sense to me, and I was disappointed. I like Dane’s character, despite his harshness, but didn’t like his match up with Irina. As a result, I didn’t enjoy this story as much as the others because of Irina’s character. However, that won’t stop me from reading any other books to come because I like the interaction and individual stories of the lead male characters in this series as well as in the Uncompromising cross-over series.

Description:

Gian Guzzi has everything a mafia boss could want, but it comes with strings. He shouldn’t be wasting time on a redhead he can’t have, when men like him are not allowed to be affected by silly things like love. A boss’s job is never done, and Gian has far better things to worry about—what with someone wanting him dead, and someone else wanting him in prison for good. Yet, he keeps risking it all for one more taste of Cara Rossi.

A man without love is no man at all.

Cara Rossi is left devastated by the things Gian Guzzi didn’t say. She also can’t forget all the things he did say. She needs to focus on moving on from him, not falling right back into his bed once more. Then again, reality has a way of ruining those plans with far more beautiful, unexpected things. Even if it means Cara is forced to question everything, from her morals to her reputation. All to be one woman to one man.

A woman without respect is a dirty word.

Duty. Legacy. Love.
Always in that order.
Or … that’s how it should be.

But life is messy, when entangled with love.
Rules don’t apply.

Excerpt:

It was possible to be entirely alone in a room full of people.

Gian Guzzi had never had that experience before, but now it was all too common. He had wrongly assumed that taking the highest seat in his Cosa Nostra family would leave him with very little time to consider or wallow about his personal problems, but that couldn’t be further from the truth.

Already, it was August. A hot, humid summer month that Gian had planned to spend with someone else, ignoring the heat as best he could. Three months had passed since his last encounter with Cara Rossi, but not a single fucking day went by where he wasn’t reminded of her in some way.

Part of that was by his own hand, of course.

Being a boss, on the other hand, forced Gian to keep his personal issues quiet. He certainly couldn’t afford to let the men around him think that he was distracted by his emotions, never mind a woman that he could no longer have. He needed for them to think that at all times, he was on his very best game, no matter what.

Duty first.

Legacy second.

And only then, love.

Gian finally understood what his grandfather, Corrado, had been trying to tell him for years. He had assumed that it was a sacrifice all made men needed to make for the sake of la famiglia, but he was wrong.

Only the boss made that sacrifice.

Cosa Nostra had to be his one constant. He had to breathe the business. He had to bleed the life. He was the one who was expected to repeat the rules and enforce them. He was the only one who was looked to when something needed to be heard. His voice spoke for everyone.

That was what a good boss did. Then, if he did his job well, the boss’s men would never know that he was just like them, affected and ruined by silly things like love and a woman.

Duty. Legacy. Love.

Always in that order.

Always.

Oh, yes.

Gian understood those words perfectly well now.

It was better to listen to the people around him, let them talk, and then form his own opinions and give orders from what he learned. He learned that quickly enough as a boss. It also left him with too much time, when he was alone with his thoughts.

All he ever did was think.

“Happy birthday, boss!”

He’s the kind of man that makes it hard to say no.

Gian Guzzi’s problems are piling up fast. A murdered grandfather, an unpredictable mafia, and a new boss that threatens both his family’s legacy and his life. Description:

When Navy SEAL Commander Logan Rodgers winds up on a botched mission in the Gulf of Oman, his quick action in saving MI6 asset, Olivia Hamilton, brings him to the attention of the international espionage arena.

Recruited by the mysterious and elite International Clandestine Enterprise (ICE), Logan faces Olivia again, but this time they’re on the same team. Sparks fly as the two compete in a clash between skill and keen intellect, until a French girl is kidnapped by a suspected terrorist.

Posing a married couple, steam erupts between the pair while Logan and Olivia dive deeper into an ISIS kidnapping ring. But when Olivia becomes the kidnapper’s next victim, she enters a madman’s hell. And as Logan races against time to save her, one thing ravages his soul. If he fails, the woman he loves will be lost to him forever.

Book Two in the ICE series, BODY SHOT, will release on August 29th.

Excerpt:

Her heart nearly stopped when a hand slid over her mouth and another disarmed her. “I’m Commander Rodgers from the USS Washington, and you’re coming with me now,” an American growled in her ear. From the girth pressing against her back, he was solid—but Olivia could take him.

Grinding her teeth, she threw an elbow to his sternum. He blocked—so like a hotshot. Few people were fast enough to react to one of her strikes. But she’d nail him with her second try. Whipping around, she aimed a kick at his groin, but he blocked that, too. At least six-two and faster than an asp, Rodgers stopped her next kick by catching her ankle and giving it a twist—a warning.

“Enough. Come.” Jesus Christ, his eyes were the color of a teal lagoon and they drilled into her like daggers.

She shook her head. God, she wasn’t about to go anywhere with dagger-eyes. Not without a fight.

Suited up in scuba gear, his facemask cocked atop his head, the man had to be daft. “What the fuck, Aquaman?” she whisper-shouted. “If anyone sees you, we’ll both be shot before the first question’s asked.”

His eyebrows slanted downward over those damned eyes. “Yeah?” he whisper-shouted back. “Everyone on this boat will be dead in fifteen. If you want to live, you’ll do as I say.”

Olivia’s mouth went dry. She blinked, shaking her head. He had to be mistaken. One more day and al-Umari’s ass would be hers. “Are you off your trolley? I’ve put too much into this project to have it blown to smithereens. Call off your dogs before you cock-up the entire op. Now.”

“No can do,” he said like her hard-earned cover wasn’t about to become the greatest wipeout in MI6 history. “Sorry to ruin your party, but there’s a bomb attached to the hull. Can’t be killed, can’t be dislodged, and if you stand here arguing with me for one more second, you’ll explode into so many pieces, you won’t make a meal for a goddamned minnow.”

Those are my choices?

“Christ!” She jammed her finger under his nose. “When this is over, your ass is mine.”

Wow. At the end of Winning Ace I was really not happy with the cliffhanger, so I have waited patiently for Losing Game. The moment it hit my kindle I dropped everything to read. I have a love, hate relationship with this book. This book in an emotional rollercoaster for Tally and Cash. I spent most of the book wanting to hug Tally. Cash at times I wanted to slap him on the back of his head. There are a few things that were not answered for me in this book, but I hope they will be answered in the next one. I enjoyed this emotional, frustrating, sexy at times, eventful book. I can’t wait for the next book. I recommend this book but read Winning Ace first so you understand what has happened.

Excerpt:

“Hello, Natalia.”

The sharp pain in her chest couldn’t have been any worse if someone had cracked open her ribcage, reached inside, and torn out her heart.

“Leave me alone, Cash,” she croaked to the man she’d adored since she was fifteen.

“I can’t do that.”

She tightened her grip on the door handle, certain if she let go she’d crumple to the floor. “Don’t you think I’ve been hurt enough?” she whispered.

Cash bowed his head, and his shoulders drooped. “I don’t want to cause you any more pain.”

“Then go away.” She turned her back on him and opened the door.

“Please, Natalia. Can we go inside and talk?”

She rested her forehead against the doorframe. “No,” she said in a wavering voice. Tears pricked behind her eyes. She dug her fingernails into her palm as she swallowed past an uncomfortable lump in her throat.

“I can explain,” he said, his hand lightly touching her arm.

She spun out of his reach but kept her back to him. “I said no.” Her chin trembled, and she clenched her jaw to stop the involuntary movement. “I’m not interested in anything you have to say.”

“I know I’ve fucked up. Please, let me inside. I’ll tell you everything. About Gracie, about my mother and father. Everything. It’s what I should have done already.”

“Cash, please.” She faced him then, her voice cracking as the tears she’d desperately tried to hold back spilled down her cheeks. “Why are you doing this?”

“Oh, baby,” he said, reaching for her again.

She staggered backwards and stumbled over the step. Her ankle twisted as she tried to save herself. Cash shot out an arm and pulled her against his chest. This time, she didn’t have the energy to resist. She slumped against him as he dug around in his pocket.

He produced a crumpled tissue and wiped away her tears. “You’re freezing. Let’s go inside and get you warmed up.”

Before she could protest, he ushered her through the door and into the tiny hallway. He walked straight ahead into the kitchen like he owned the damned place and then flicked the kettle on.

“Go and get a shower. I’ll have the tea made by the time you get out.”

She wanted to tell him no, that she could make her own bloody tea, but the words wouldn’t come. She trudged into the bathroom and locked the door. She wouldn’t put it past Cash to follow her, and she craved control even as she sensed it slipping out of reach.

She’d thought Brighton would be a refuge, a place to heal, but he’d found her so easily. Once she’d showered and dressed in clean clothes, she would be able to deal with Cash. She would listen to what he had to say and then politely ask him to leave.

And then she was going home to London.

About The Author:

Tracie Delaney is the author of the Winning Ace trilogy. She loves nothing more than immersing herself in a good romance, although she sometimes, rather cheekily, makes her characters wait for their HEA.

When she isn’t writing or sitting around with her head stuck in a book, she can often be found watching The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones or any tennis match involving Roger Federer. Her greatest fear is running out of coffee.

Tracie studied accountancy, gaining her qualification in 2001. Her maths teacher would no doubt be stunned by this revelation considering Tracie could barely add two plus two at high school.

Tracie lives in the North West of England with her amazingly supportive husband. They both share a love of dogs, travel and wine.

Review:

I enthusiastically recommend this YA Romance to everyone. This captured the mind set of teenagers in high school in just the right way. The story is very entertaining and such a great idea. Just the thought of these two fooling the whole school by pretending to have know each other forever is a fantastic start. As the story goes on they do delve into a few deeper and realistic ideals, but not in a bad way to scare anyone off from wanting their young teens to read this. Warning though, there is underage drinking so if you don’t want someone to read about that then this might need to be skipped for now. Jenny and Chance stole my heart. Loved this story.

Description:

A new spin on the classic smart-girl-and-bad-boy setup, this witty contemporary romance shows how easily a friendship – even one built on an elaborate lie – can become so much more.

Jenny meets Chance for the very first time when she is assigned as his partner in their Junior Oral Communications class. But after they rescue a doomed assignment with one clever lie, the whole school is suddenly convinced that Little-Miss-Really-Likes-Having-A’s and the most scandalous heartbreaker in school have been best friends forever. It’s amazing how quickly a lie can grow―especially when you really, really want it to be the truth.

With Jenny, Chance can live the normal life he’s always kind of wanted. And with Chance, Jenny can have the exciting teen experiences that TV shows and movies have always promised. Through it all, they hold on to the fact that they are “just friends.” But that might be the biggest lie of all.

Debut author Tiffany Pitcock delivers a spot-on depiction of first love and the high school rumor mill in Just Friends, chosen by readers like you for Macmillan’s young adult imprint Swoon Reads.

About The Author:

I was born and raised in Arkansas, which isn’t terribly exciting. I’ve wanted to be a writer for as long as I can remember. I used to sit in class and write stories in my notebooks, thinking that everyone did. It turns out, everyone didn’t. I love writing because it means I’m putting my thoughts, feelings, and soul out there for someone else to read – for someone else to feel. The fact that someone can read my words, and empathize with my characters – characters that wouldn’t exist with out me, that I created from my mind – is such a wonderful concept to me. I could happily write for the rest of my life as long as there was one person out there who was affected by my words.

And what an ending!! Please check out Breaking Roman and see for yourself what an awesome author this is. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Spotlight/Excerpt: Addicted to Love, by Jennifer Wilck Reply

Description:

Dan Rothberg struggled after an accident killed his wife and he nearly lost custody of his daughter. He can no longer allow himself to get attached to anything or anyone. Until he meets Hannah.

Hannah Cohen is a young executive with a meddlesome grandmother and a troubled brother. She’d like nothing better than to find her own Mr. Right, after too many Mr. Wrongs. A sexy older man with a teenage daughter was never in her plans.

As they navigate their relationship through adolescent attitudes and grandmotherly interference, they realize age is just a number and love can be right in front of them. But when the terrible truth of Dan’s former struggles is exposed, Hannah must decide if she can get past his deception and allow love to conquer all.

Excerpt:

“What are we looking at?” she whispered out of the side of her mouth, pursing her lips together and giving him an insane urge to kiss them.

“What?”

“I assumed since we’re standing here you must be looking at something, and I wanted to join in the fun. Or did you not realize we weren’t moving?”

Her nostrils flared and she bit her lip. Dan realized she was trying not to laugh. Now he really wanted to kiss her, to capture her mouth with his, to make her his own. Before he could act on it, his stomach growled.

“Was that yours or mine?” She looked at him, an eyebrow raised.

His lips twitched. His breath hitched. He couldn’t keep his amusement to himself any longer. It bubbled in his chest, and he let it out as he shook his head.

“Okay, while I am older than you, I’m not old enough to be senile. Yet. So yes, I did know we weren’t moving. But thanks for that. And yes, my stomach growled, because I’m hungry. Except I think I need to put eating on hold for a moment, because what I need more than anything else right now, what I’ve needed all night long in fact, is to kiss you.”

About The Author:

When I was a little girl and couldn’t fall asleep, my mother would tell me to make up a story. Pretty soon, my head was filled with these stories and the characters that populated them. Each character had a specific personality, a list of likes and dislikes, and sometimes, even a specific accent or dialect. Even as an adult, I think about the characters and stories at night before I fall asleep, or in the car on my way to or from one of my daughters’ numerous activities (hey, anything that will drown out their music is a good thing).

One day, I started writing them down (it was either that or checking into the local mental hospital—the computer was way less scary) and now I’m a published author. My first book, A Heart of Little Faith, was just declared a Finalist in the Fiction: Romance category of the 2016 Best Book Awards.

In the real world, I’m the mother of two amazing daughters and wife of one of the smartest men I know. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, traveling and watching TV. In between chauffeuring my daughters to after-school activities that require an Excel spreadsheet to be kept straight, I run youth group activities, train the dog we recently adopted from a local shelter, and cook dinners that fit the needs of four very different appetites. I also write freelance articles for magazines, newspapers, and edit newsletters.

When all of that gets overwhelming, I retreat to my computer, where I write stories that let me escape from reality. In my made-up world, the heroines are always smart, sassy and independent. The heroes are handsome and strong with just a touch of vulnerability. If I don’t like a character, I can delete him or her; if something doesn’t work, I can rewrite it. It’s very satisfying to be in control of at least one part of my life. My inspiration comes from watching the people around me and fantasizing about how I’d do things differently.
